We can provide bespoke training packages for managers, including promoting mental health, supporting employees with mental health issues and advising on stress management.

Our aim is to help you avoid long term or recurrent sickness absence related to poor mental health by giving your managers the understanding and tools to support employees.

Wendy is also an approved instructor for Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) training.

Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) is an internationally recognised training course which teaches people how to spot the signs and symptoms of mental ill health and provide help on a first aid basis. In the same way as physical first aid, you are not trained to diagnose or become a therapist, but you are given structured knowledge needed to support people. Mental Health First Aiders have a more in-depth knowledge of mental health conditions, are aware of spotting the early signs and how to communicate in a non-judgmental manner. They are then equipped to signpost to the appropriate forms of support and treatment, whether that be through the NHS or self-help. MHFA training teaches you to start those potentially difficult conversations with colleagues, family and friends alike. Even in a crisis.

As a very experienced Occupational Health Specialist Practitioner, Wendy is very pleased to be able to deliver this course with the knowledge and insight she has gained over the years working with Managers and HR Professionals, recommending adjustments and guidance on how to support employees with mental health problems.
